Women’s Empowerment Principles and Practices

Sabine Stöger, Board Member of the United Nations Women National Committee Austria and Head of Corporate Analysis & Portfolio Strategy at BAWAG P.S.K., introduced the WEPs and presented ways of encouraging gender equality at the workplace. 


Doris Lippert, Digital Advisor at Microsoft, described the strategies and (best) practices put in place by Microsoft to apply the WEPs in the company. 


WEP Principle

The Women's Empowerment Principles offer seven steps to guide businesses on how to empower women in the workplace, marketplace and community. The UN Women National Committee Austria is looking for local corporate partners to collaborate on the issue of gender equality in the workplace. About the speaker



Sabine Stöger

The United Nations Women National Committee Austria is an independent non-governmental organization supporting the mission of UN Women through public awareness initiatives and fundraising efforts benefitting global women programmes. In her capacity as Head of Corporate Analysis & Portfolio Strategy at BAWAG P.S.K., Sabine Stöger manages the Austrian Corporate Portfolio for the bank. She is a graduate of the Diplomatic Academy and has a degree in International Business Administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business. When not traveling, Sabine enjoys trying new sports such as aerial yoga and disco spinning.



Doris Lippert

Doris Lippert is a Digital Advisor at Microsoft where she supports customers in driving Digital Transformation projects across various industries, with a focus on customer experience and business model re-invention. Prior to Microsoft, she was Head of New Business at point of origin which is an Austrian based consulting company focusing on business transformation. Her department was responsible for developing transformation projects in the retail and financial services industries throughout the DACH region. Before joining point of origin in 2016, Doris spent over 5 years at SAP, in charge of customer engagement. She assisted customers in developing and implementing customer experience strategies. Her key topics were Customer Journey Management, CRM and Omnichannel Management. She holds an M.A. in Management from IMC Krems, and a B.A. in Marketing & Sales from Campus 2.0.
